The historic Connemara Public Library in Egmore is set to reopen after a major renovation, offering a fresh experience for readers. The upgraded library features an exclusive children’s reading corner and a children’s science park, designed to make learning fun and engaging.The renovation, carried out at a cost of over ₹4 crore, also includes modern amenities such as renovated toilets, elevators, a conference hall, and a dedicated hall for competitive exam preparation.
The new children’s science park will feature nine interactive science models, allowing students and young visitors to explore science concepts in an engaging way. Officials said the makeover aims to attract more readers, especially children and students, and strengthen the library’s role as a modern hub for learning and education.
