Veteran spiritual leader GR Swaminathan has made strong remarks about the role of spiritual gurus and their followers, stating that individuals who fail to recognise gurus as manifestations of the divine are acting like scoundrels, fools and savages.
Swaminathan emphasised the importance of guru-shishya tradition, describing it as a sacred and indispensable connection in spiritual life. In his view, a spiritual teacher is not merely a human guide but represents a form of God, whose presence and teachings help devotees grow and evolve on the path of truth and righteousness.
