The much-anticipated trailer of the Tamil anthology film Vowels was unveiled on Tuesday, offering a first look at a unique cinematic exploration of love in all its intricate forms. The film, set for a theatrical release on March 13, brings together five distinct narratives that examine different emotional facets of relationships.
Directed by a quintet of filmmakers â Dhilip Kumar, Hemanth Kumar, Sangeeth, Santhosh Ravi, and Jagan Rajendran â Vowels is structured as an anthology where each segment is named after one of the English vowel letters: A for Attraction, E for Emotion, I for Intimacy, O for Obsession, and U for Unconditional. These thematic chapters collectively form what the creators describe as âAn Atlas of Love,â offering viewers a map of loveâs many emotional territories.
The trailer shows the intertwined stories of love, chaos, conflict and romance, woven together by characters played by Yugi Sethu and Chinni Jayanth, who appear to serve as narrators guiding audiences through the filmâs emotional landscape. The ensemble cast also features Raj Ayyappa, Samyuktha Vishwanathan, Nandu, Deepak Paramesh, Kajal Choudhary, Peter K and others, each contributing to the anthologyâs rich tapestry.
Produced by Raju Sheregar under the Riddhi Siddhi Films banner, Vowels combines diverse storytelling with evocative visuals, backed by cinematography from Keerthan Poojaary and Sandeep Aluri, editing by Harish Komme, and music by Sarvanaa Subramaniam.
