Actor-politician Vijay will begin interviewing applicants who have submitted forms seeking to contest the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections on behalf of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) on Tuesday amidst reports of CBI summons to appear over Karur stampede case. Reports say he is likely to skip summon for today.
The interviews will be held at the party’s headquarters in Panaiyur, Chennai, starting at 10.30 a.m. Special arrangements have been made at the office for the process.
According to party sources, over 4,200 applications were received from aspirants who expressed interest in contesting the elections under the TVK banner.
The interviews will be conducted by Vijay along with party general secretary Bussy Anand and other state-level office-bearers. Selected applicants have been informed about their interview schedule through email, and the process will be conducted both in person and online.
