Chennai, Apr 3:
Senior leader K. A. Sengottaiyan has expressed strong confidence in the electoral prospects of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), claiming that the party will secure at least 200 seats in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
Addressing party workers, Sengottaiyan asserted that the growing support for Vijay among the public would translate into a massive mandate at the polls. He projected that TVK is emerging as a powerful alternative to the state’s traditional Dravidian parties.
His remarks come amid an intensifying multi-cornered contest in the state, where TVK is attempting to disrupt the dominance of established players like the DMK and AIADMK.
Sengottaiyan has consistently voiced optimism about the party’s chances, earlier stating that TVK could sweep entire regions such as Kongu as well.
