The much-anticipated pan-India action thriller Slum Dog, directed by Puri Jagannadh and starring Vijay Sethupathi, has successfully completed its entire shoot. The film has now moved into post-production, with work progressing simultaneously across multiple languages.
Carrying the intriguing tagline 33 Temple Road, the project has already generated considerable buzz following the release of its title and first-look poster.
The film is jointly produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under the banner Puri Connects, in association with JB Narayan Rao Kondrolla of JB Mohan Pictures.
Marking a significant moment in his career, Puri Jagannadh recently completed 26 years in the film industry since his directorial debut with Badri, starring Pawan Kalyan.
On the occasion, Vijay Sethupathi took to social media to praise his director, calling his journey a “legacy built with courage, conviction, and a fearless voice.”
He wrote, “It was an absolute pleasure working with you on Slum Dog – 33 Temple Road. As actors, we always look for directors who trust us and push us beyond our comfort zones, and you do that effortlessly. I believe this will be remembered as a very special film for all of us involved.”
The film features Samyuktha as the female lead opposite Vijay Sethupathi, with Tabu and Duniya Vijay playing pivotal roles. The supporting cast includes Brahmaji and VTV Ganesh.
Music for the film is being composed by National Award-winning Harshavardhan Rameshwar, known for his intense background scores in films like Arjun Reddy and Animal.
Slum Dog is slated for a grand pan-India release in five languages—Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
The makers are expected to begin promotional activities after the conclusion of the Tamil Nadu elections, building momentum for what is shaping up to be a major multi-language release.
