The makers of GDN, starring R Madhavan as legendary inventor G D Naidu, have revealed that a key announcement regarding the film will be made at 2:41 pm tomorrow.

While the exact nature of the update remains under wraps, industry buzz suggests it could be the official release date of the much-anticipated biographical drama, which was earlier slated for a summer 2026 release.

Directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, known for Oho Enthan Baby, the film boasts a strong ensemble cast including Priyamani, Jayaram, Sathyaraj, Dushara Vijayan, Thambi Ramaiah, Vinay Rai, and Yogi Babu.

G D Naidu, often hailed as the “Edison of India,” is celebrated for his pioneering contributions to science, technology, and public service, particularly in Tamil Nadu, where his legacy continues to be honoured.

The project is backed by Varghese Moolan and Vijay Moolan, in collaboration with Madhavan and Sarita Madhavan under Tricolour Films. This marks a reunion for the team after their successful collaboration on Rocketry:

The Nambi Effect, another acclaimed biopic. The makers have described GDN as “a story that needs to be told,” with Madhavan undergoing a striking transformation for the role.

On the technical front, the film features music by Govind Vasantha and cinematography by Aravind Kamalanathan, who also serves as the creative producer. Production has been completed, with the team recently wrapping up an international schedule and celebrating the film’s completion, setting the stage for its upcoming release announcement.
