Actor M. Sasikumar has completed shooting for his upcoming film directed by Dharani Rasendran, with the makers officially announcing the wrap of production.
The yet-untitled film, which was announced last year, features Sasikumar in the role of an Indian National Army (INA) officer. The cast also includes Samuthirakani, Kishore, Seyon, Bhavani Sre and Sshivada, with Ashok Selvan set to appear in a cameo role.
According to the makers, the film has now moved into post-production. Set against the backdrop of British-era India, the project will require extensive visual effects work to recreate the period setting.
The film is produced by J Kamalakannan under the banner of JK Film International. The technical team includes cinematographer Sethu Murugavel, music composer Sarthak Kalyani and editor Mahendran Ganesan.
On the professional front, Sasikumar is also set to appear in the second season of the crime series Vadhandhi, reprising his role as SI Moosa Raaza. The actor-director, known for helming Subramaniapuram, has also expressed interest in returning to direction in the near future.
