Chennai, June 9:

The Super Kings Academy (SKA) an initiative of IPL franchisee Chennai Super Kings, will open its first centre in the city of Singapore from July 1.

The SKA will be partnering with the iconic Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) – one of Asia’s oldest sporting institutions and the partnership will be operationalised through Marina 2049 Pte. Ltd. which will serve as the franchisee entity through which this collaboration is structured and managed.

The SKA will operate at two facilities at Singapore Cricket Club – one at Padang and the other at Dempsey.
The facility at Padang is an international venue and it is equipped with three nets and floodlights, while Dempsey is equipped with a ground and three wickets, including a turf wicket.

Launched in 2022, SKA is a cricket coaching centre for boys and girls with state-of-the-art infrastructure and expert coaching. It has more than 45 centres operating across India, the USA, Australia, Canada and has now forayed into Singapore with two facilities.

Speaking about SKA’s expansion to Singapore, Chennai Super Kings’ MD KS Viswanathan said: “We are delighted to expand the Super Kings
Academy’s footprint across the world with our new centre in Singapore. With this launch, we are moving closer to having almost 50 Super Kings Academy centres
globally, all committed to nurturing the next generation of cricketers through world- class infrastructure and expert coaching. We are especially pleased to partner with
Singapore Cricket Club, an institution with a strong cricketing heritage, quality facilities, and a shared vision for developing the game at the grassroots level.”

Srikanth Kakulapati, Chairman of Games Control Board, SCC said “we are proud to partner with SKA in
what we believe will be a defining moment for cricket development in Singapore. The SCC has always been the cornerstone of our Club’s youth programme, and this
partnership amplifies everything we have built — combining our established local platform and community with SKA’s international coaching expertise and global
network. Together, we will create stronger pathways, greater international exposure, and a truly world-class environment for the next generation of Singapore cricketers.”
