Islamabad, June 17:
Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, has raised concerns over the medical treatment and prison conditions of the former Pakistan prime minister, questioning care provided at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and demanding independent treatment at Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad.
She said the family does not accept official medical reports and accused authorities of restricting access and violating court orders. Her remarks came after Khan was taken to PIMS for a follow-up eye treatment, where doctors reportedly administered his fifth intravitreal injection and described him as clinically stable.
Aleema Khan questioned why further injections were needed and insisted on transparency. She also alleged that Imran Khan’s rights as a prisoner, including regular family meetings, legal access, communication with his sons, and medical transparency, are being denied. She called for immediate restoration of all court-ordered rights, accusing authorities of using isolation as pressure.
