Tamil singer Dhee and American pop star Lara Raj of KATSEYE have joined forces to give Dhee’s popular independent track Vari Vari an international makeover, with the remix bringing together two artists of Tamil heritage. The remix was released on September 4.
Composed and produced by Santhosh Narayanan, with lyrics by Vivek and vocals by Dhee, Vari Vari has received a strong response since its original release. The new version features Lara Raj and has been composed by Santhosh Narayanan, with 808Krshna as co-producer.
The collaboration marks a crossover between Tamil indie music and the global pop scene. The remix gives the emotionally driven original a more energetic, dance-oriented sound while retaining its core identity.
For Dhee and Lara, both of Tamil heritage, the collaboration also represents a cultural connection on the international music stage. The remix is now available across major music streaming platforms.
