Power cut areas for tomorrow 

 Several parts of Chennai and its suburbs will face a power shutdown on Friday (September 11) owing to maintenance works by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board.

Chennai, Sept 10:
 Several parts of Chennai and its suburbs will face a power shutdown on Friday (September 11) owing to maintenance works by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board.
According to the schedule announced by the electricity authorities, power supply will be suspended from 9 am to 2 pm in the affected areas. Supply will be restored once the maintenance works are completed.
In Guindy, the affected areas include Munsamy Street, Achuthan Nagar first to fourth streets, Thanakoti Raja Street, Zee Tamil, CIPET, SS Block, Poonamallee High Road, South Phase, Padavattamman Koil Street, Lazar Street, Raj Bhavan Kannikapuram, Gulmohar Avenue, First and Fifth Furlong streets, Mandaveli first to third streets, Chakrapani Road, Link Road, a portion of Narasingapuram and Pillaiyar Koil Street.
In Nandambakkam, the shutdown will cover Mahalakshmi Nagar, M.G. Road, Kolapakkam, Bhajanai Koil Street, VIP Anugraha, Arvila, Ramachandra Nagar, Pozhichalur, Pallavaram Main Road and Matha Town.
In Nanganallur, areas including Sengazhani Amman Koil Street, Bhagat Singh Street, Muthu Mohammed Street, Puzhuthivakkam Main Road, the Puzhuthivakkam Corporation office area, Rajeswari Nagar, Sengalvarayan Street, Thangavel Street, Union Carbide Colony, Velayutham Street and parts of Ullagaram will be affected.
In Adambakkam, the affected localities include Mohanapuri first to fifth streets, EB Colony first to fifth streets and cross streets, EB Colony Main Road, Joseph Colony, Ganesh Nagar, LH Nagar and Vel Nagar.
In Madipakkam, the power shutdown will cover Kakkan Street, MGR first and second streets, Kulakkarai Street, Kanniamman Koil Street, Thangai Salai, parts of Sadasivam Nagar, Raghavendra first and second streets and Bhajanai streets.
In Chembarambakkam, the affected areas include Panimalar Medical College, Varadarajapuram, Yamuna Nagar, Kolapancheri, Sokkanallur, Pidarethangal, Nazarathpet, Meppur, Bengaluru Trunk Road, Thirumazhisai, Malayambakkam and Agaramel.
Several localities in Tambaram, Velachery and Thirumangalam will also face the shutdown. In Tambaram, the affected areas include Irumbuliyur, Bharathamatha Street, Valmiki Street, Erikkarai Street, Thiruvalluvar Street, Gandhasamy Colony, LIC Colony and several surrounding neighbourhoods.
Residents and establishments in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements in view of the scheduled five-hour power interruption.
