Actor Soori-starrer sports drama Mandaadi has crossed the Rs 100-crore mark in worldwide gross collections, reaching the milestone on its 11th day in theatres. The film, which opened on September 10, witnessed a rise in collections during its second weekend. According to box-office tracking figures cited by Cinema Express, the film has grossed more than Rs 100 crore worldwide.
Directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, Mandaadi revolves around two rival teams competing in traditional sailboat racing for recognition as the official team representing their village. Elred Kumar has produced the film under the RS Infotainment banner. The cast includes Soori, Suhas, Mahima Nambiar, Sathyaraj, Mithun Jai Shankar, Krish Hassan, Ravindra Vijay, Bala Saravanan, Ramachandran Durairaj and Aadukalam Naren.
The film has music by GV Prakash Kumar, while SR Kathir is the cinematographer and Pradeep E Ragav has handled the editing. Action choreography is by Peter Hein, Dilip Subbarayan and Mahesh Mathew. With its worldwide gross crossing the Rs 100-crore milestone, Mandaadi has emerged as a significant box-office outing for Soori.
