2019 general elections: PMK leaders arrive for alliance talks with AIADMK

Chennai: The PMK and AIADMK are holding alliance talks right now at a private hotel in Chennai.

PMK founder-leader, Dr S Ramadoss, and his son and MP Anbumani Ramadoss, were welcomed warmly by the AIADMK team, led by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Pannerselvam, at the entrance of the hotel with elaborately decorated shawls.

Ministers Thangamani, S P Velumani and D Jayakumar are part of the negotiating team that was present in the hotel.

The news that the PMK would be part of the AIADMK alliance had been in the air for quite sometime now and today it has been confirmed.

BJP president Amit Shah was supposed to be in Chennai to seal the pact, but he cancelled his trip at the last minute for reasons unknown. After stitching up an alliance with the Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, the BJP top gun flew back to Delhi, said reports.
