Tamil Nadu Municipal Administration Minister K.N. Nehru announced on Saturday that the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) will see an increase in the number of wards. This decision aims to better serve the city’s growing population, which currently stands at 8.9 million. Minister Nehru made this announcement on the third day of the Tamil Nadu Assembly session.
