Veteran Malayalam actor, screenwriter and filmmaker Sreenivasan passed away on Saturday at the age of 69 in Ernakulam due to age-related ailments, marking the end of an era for Malayalam cinema. Known for his sharp wit, powerful satire and socially rooted storytelling, Sreenivasan’s career spanned more than four decades. Sreenivasan made his debut in the late 1970s and went on to act in over 200 films, winning widespread admiration for his natural humour and relatable characters.
