Chennai: In view of maintenance works at the 100 mld desalination plant at Nemmeli, water production activities at the plant will be stopped from 6 am today till 6 am tomorrow.
However, alternative arrangements have been made for adequate water supply.
In case of short supply, residents of south Chennai areas like Adyar, Velacheri, Besant Nagar, Sholinganallur, Enjambakkam, Neelankarai, Kottivakkam, Perungudi, Palavakkam, Tiruvanmiyur, Mandaveli and Mylapore can contact the deputy area engineers for the supply of water through tankers for urgent requirements, a press release said.
