Hosur: TVS Motor Company has stated that it has registered a sales growth of 18 per cent with sales increasing from 3,59,850 units in September 2017 to 4,23,978 units in the month of September.
Total two-wheelers registered a growth 17 per cent with sales increasing from 3,50,854 units in September 2017 to 4,10,696 units in September 2018. Domestic two-wheeler sales registered a growth of 18 per cent from 3,07,160 units in September 2017 to 3,61,136 units.
Scooter sales of the Company grew by 17 per cent with 1,42,562 units sold in the month. Motorcycle sales grew by 16 per cent with sales increasing from 1,43,923 units in September 2017 to 1,66,489 units.
The Company’s total exports grew by 20 per cent from 50,971 units registered in the month of September 2017 to 61,192 units in September 2018.
During the second quarter of the current financial year, two-wheeler sales grew by 14 per cent increasing from 9.2 lakh units in the second quarter of the previous year to 10.5 lakh units in the second quarter of the current year. Sales of three-wheelers of the Company grew by 57 per cent from 0.25 lakh units in the second quarter of the previous year to 0.40 lakh units in the second quarter of the current year.
