Here is a delight for Dhanush fans: The first look poster from his next venture Maari 2 was out today.
The makers have also confirmed that the film would hit the screens in December. Directed by Balaji Mohan, Maari was one of the biggest hits in Dhanush’s career and it was released in 2015. The shooting for the sequel was completed in August.
While the prequel had Kajal Agarwal as Dhanush’s lead pair, in the sequel, it will be Sai Pallavi and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar sharing the screen space with the actor.
Maari 2 is being bankrolled by Dhanush’s home production Wunderbar Films. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music for Maari 2 with Om Prakash cranking the camera, G K Prasanna editing it and Silva choreographing the stunts.
The film marks the reunion of Dhanush and composer Yuvan Shankar Raja after a long hiatus of nearly a decade.
Dhanush is awaiting the release of Ennai Nokki Payum Thotta, directed by Gautham Menon, and his second directional project is on the floors.
Akkineni Nagarjuna, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Sarath Kumar and Aditi Rao Hydari form part of the cast.
Sean Roldan has been finalised to compose music. Om Prakash will crank the camera while Muthuraj will take care of art direction.
