Young Hrithika makes her debut as heroine in Vidiyatha Iravondru Vendum.
She is the niece of yesteryear actress Amni, who married acclaimed producer Khaja Mohideen. He had bankrolled several films in the past including Gopala Gopala, Porkalam, Ponthottam, Vanjinathan, among others.
Directed by Karuppiah Murugan, Vidiyatha Iravondru Vendum stars Ashok as hero.
Says Hrithika, “I want to emulate my aunt. She had acted in several Telugu films in lead roles and won many awards and accolades. Though I am a native of Andhra Pradesh, I grew up in Chennai. Once I decided to make a career in acting, I started learning dance and the nuances of acting.”
I want to do roles that are challenging. I was impressed with the story of Vidiyatha Iravondru Vendum and readily agreed to do it, she smiles.
Setting her ambitions high, Hrithika says. “My desire is to be remembered by people as a versatile actress who has won many awards.”
