Chennai: Tamilnadu poultry farmers are participating in the 12th Poultry India Expo and Knowledge Day Technical Seminar at HITEC City Hyderabad.
Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (IPEMA) is organising the exhibition for three days from 28 November and Knowledge Day technical seminar on 27 November.
India’s broiler production for 2018 is projected to increase by 7.5 per cent to over 4.9 million tonnes. Demand for processed chicken meat is projected to grow between 15 to 20 per cent every year, a press release said.
The main aim of the exhibition is to help keep abreast of latest developments and practices in poultry management, poultry health and nutrition, poultry breeding and new techniques in feed manufacturing and poultry production.
Knowledge Day is dedicated to bringing about a change in the way farmers further the poultry sector.
Some of the world’s finest minds will speak on the science of poultry and latest innovations in the fields of breeding, hygiene, nutrition, animal health, poultry equipment and branding, the release said.
