Chennai: Burglars struck at a house in Valasaravakkam and decamped with 25 sovereigns of jewels and cash last night.
According to police, Ramgarajan (74), a resident of Rajaji Nagar in the area, had been to his relative’s house in Nanganallur. He returned home late last night to see the lock broken. He found 25 sovereigns of jewel and some cash missing. He immediately lodged a complaing with police.
They checked CCTV cameras in the area to find out that pass books and docuents stolen from Rangarajan’s house was thrown on the roads. Search is on for the culprits.
