Chennai: Two bike-borne men snatched the mobile phone of a pedestrian near Anna Arivalayam at Teynampet this morning.
According to the police, the incident took place at 6.15 am, when K Sabarisan (28), working in an IT company, was walking to his office for his morning shift.
A resident of Jafferkhanpet, he told the police that two men on a two-wheeler came from behind and snatched the phone from his hands.
One of them was wearing a helmet. Though Sabarisan chased them, he lost them after a point.
He had noted the vehicle number, but police found that it was a fake.
The Teynampet police have registered an FIR and are conducting an inquiry by checking the CCTV footage in the area.
