After a two a year pause, Nazriya Nazim who quit acting post her marriage with Fahad Fazil, returned recently with Malayalam film Koode. She is presently busy in Mollywood with a couple of films. The actress is equally popular in Tamil cinema with films like Neram, Raja Rani and Bangalore Days.
The big news making the rounds is that Boney Kapoor has roped in Nazriya for his Tamil remake of Bollywood hit Pink, tentatively titled Thala 59. It is already confirmed that Ajith will be reprising Amitabh’s role in the Tamil remake.
Looks like Nazriya will be seen reprising Taapsee Pannu’s role. She has posted a picture on her social media handle saying, “My face explains how much I am happy. No words to explain #AK59 #Thala 59.” However, it is not yet officially confirmed by the production house.
The 2016 Bollywood courtroom drama and social thriller garnered accolades for highlighting the importance of consent, besides receiving a National Award. Pink was also screened at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
