Chennai: State Minister for Milk and Dairy Development, K T Rajenthra Balaji, today said the livelihood of the firecracker manufacturers will be safeguarded and their problems will come to an end soon.
Speaking to the people in Virudhunagar, who are staging a bandh in support of the industry workers, he said all the obstacles will be broken to ensure that the fireworks factories reopen.
“I am not speaking to you as Minister, but one among you. I, too, have worked in fireworks company and I know the struggles faced by the people,” he said.
The Minister also asked the police personnel not to trouble the people who were protesting peacefully.
