Chennai: Consortium of Healthcare Organisations (CAHO) of all National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare providers (NABH)-accredited hospitals has identified Nirmals’ Eye Hospital, Chennai as a Centre for Quality Promotions (CQP).
To commemorate the launch of CQP, a three-day training programme called certified professional for quality in health and a seminar on ‘Patient safety and quality in health’ was conducted for the doctors and health professionals at Nirmals’ Eye Hospital, a press release said.
“Nirmals’ Eye Hospital will be a nodal centre for training and mentoring other hospitals to get into the journey of quality implementation leading to accreditation,” said hospital’s managing director Dr T Nirmal Fredrick.
A book on ‘Accreditation of Eye Centres’ was released on the occasion. The book will be a guide to all eye hospitals starting on their journey of patient safety, quality and accreditation, the release said.
