Chennai: The DMK today said party president M K Stalin will flag off gram sabha-like meetings in 12,617 villages across Tamilnadu on 3 January from Tiruvarur.
A decision to organise the sessions was taken during the consultative meet of the party yesterday at Anna Arivalayam.
DMK MLAs, MPs, district secretaries and Lok Sabha election coordinators took part in the meeting chaired by Stalin.
It will be pertinent to note that Kamal Haasan, founder of the Makkal Needhi Maiam party, has already been holding gram sabha meetings in the State to read the pulse of the people.
