Following the recent ruckus of locking up the council office, actor and Tamil Film Producers Council president Vishal announced that show-cause notices have been sent to all those involved in that.
He had convened the executive committee meeting of TFPC.
Later, when addressing mediapersons, Vishal said, “Actor and filmmaker Parthiban has been officially selected as the new vice-president of the council and he will join the 
administration of the council. I thank the Central and State governments for reducing GST on movie tickets.”
He also announced that those who are not council members and were part of earlier protests will be dealt with legally.
Further, he said the council was discussing how to conduct legendary music composer Ilayaraja’s grand fund-raising show and has sought an appointment with Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami.
