Chennai: Even as there were showers in some parts of Chennai, a big fire broke out in the Vyasarpadi area this morning.
In an area that has around 100 huts, the fire destroyed about 30-35 huts. The blaze also triggered blasts – five LPG cylinders burst as the fire spread from one hut to another.
The flames were brought under control and doused by the fire and rescue services personnel later in the day.
