Bandhan Bank Q3 net profit up 10.3%

Chennai: Bandhan Bank has announed its financial results for the third quarter that ended 31 December, 2018 and stated that net profit grew up to 10.3 per cent to Rs 331 crore as against Rs 300 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The bank said its net Interest Income (NII) for the quarter grew by 53.5 per cent at Rs 1,124 crore as against Rs 732 crore correspondingly, the previous year.

While non-interest income grew by 48.1 per cent at Rs 234 crore, operating profit too increased by 56.8 per cent at Rs 900 crore, as against Rs 574 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, a release from the bank said.

The bank’s CASA ratio was at 41.4 per cent of total deposit, and CASA grew 70.7 per cent y-o-y at Rs 14,342 crore compared to Rs 8,401 crore.

The bank said it has added 9.22 lakh customers during the quarter with total customer base reaching to 15.33 million (Micro Banking-12.15 million and Non Micro-3.18 million).

Total Banking outlets as on 31 December, 2018, stood at 3992 that includes 978 branches and 3,014 doorstep service centers. Total number of ATMs stood at 480 as on 18 December. The number of employees of the bank stands at 31,115.
