Hyderabad: Sai Prasad of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) allegedly circulated defaming videos against a TRS MLA on social media and was arrested by the police after a complaint was lodged by the latter’s supporter.
Based on theĀ complaint lodged by a supporter of Mynampally Hanumantha Rao, who represents Malkajgiri assembly seat,Ā a case was registered against Sai under IPC sections 500 (defamation) and 506 (criminal intimidation) and under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act, and he wasĀ arrested on Tuesday, said the police.
