There were reports in a section of press that A R Murugadoss, after Sarkar, is directing Rajinikanth for a movie titled Naarkkaali. They said that it is a political thriller and Rajinikanth would play a Chief Minister in it.
However, Murugadoss chose to deny the reports. He tweeted, “Naarkkaali is not the title of my next project, pls stop spreading rumors.”
Sources close to the filmmaker say that he narrated a story to Rajinikanth a few months ago. He was mightily impressed and that shooting would begin in a couple of months. However, it is not a political film, but a mass action entertainer. The project will be bankrolled by Lyca International.
