Bengaluru: Karnataka Congress MLA Anand Singh’s wife said on Sunday that she would take legal action against MLA JN Ganesh, Ballari district, after he allegedly hurt her husband at the Eagleton resort, where the party MLAs are being kept huddled amid BJP’s alleged poaching attempt.
Anand reportedly had a heated argument and came to blows with Ganesh late last night and was hospitalised. He suffered a black eye. Ganesh is said be one of the disgruntled Congress MLAs who was reportedly in touch with other dissidents in the party and was on BJP’s radar in its alleged toppling game
Speaking to reporters, Laxmi Singh said that if it was true that Ganesh beat up her husband she would take legal action against him.
She said that she din’t know who provoked whom and that one cannot try to kill somebody for provocation. She said both the men were good friends in the past.
Laxmi also claimed that in the Congress Legislature Party meeting there was a heated exchange with Bheema Naik and her husband.
Replying to a question, she said didn’t know the exact state of her husband’s condition. According to sources, Singh had a black eye and suffered blunt injuries and also complained of uneasiness in the chest.
