Chennai: A senior citizen was stabbed to death at J J Nagar allegedly by a family member over a domestic quarrel. The deceased Yesurajan (70) lived in Collector Nagar, Anna Nagar West Extension. According to the police, Yesurajan lived with his wife Kala (50), however, the duo are not on speaking terms.
His son Arockiya Arulraj and his wife Alphonse Rubywho live nearby took care of his meals. His son either delivered food to his house or he went to their house and ate. Kala who was unhappy with this rued to her relative Gopal who lives in Perungalathur.
Yesterday, at 7.45 pm, when Kala had gone out, Gopal came to speak to Yesurajan and resolve the issue. Later, when Kala returned she found him with stab injuries. When she asked her neighbours, they told her Gopal had come.
Police who came to the spot sent the body to Government Kilpauk Hospital for post mortem. J J Nagar police are conducting inquires into the case.
