Karaikal: 25 Sri Lankan fishermen were arrested yesterday for allegedly fishing in Indian waters and have been handed over to authorities for inquiry.
SR Nagendran, Commanding officer of Karaikal Coast Guard Station, told reporters that the fishermen along with their boats and catch were being brought to Karaikal port.
They would reach here today. The fishermen would be handed over to authorities here for inquiry, he further added.
