Coimbatore: Tamilnadu Minister R B Udayakumar yesterday dismissed Stalin’s charge that the electoral pact for Lok Sabha polls had been made between AIADMK and PMK only for money and in turn questioned DMK’s move to forge a tie-up with MDMK, who’s leader Vaiko was a bitter foe till a few years ago.
DMK chief Stalin had said the AIADMK-PMK alliance has been formed without a thought for the country or the people…They have forged an alliance only for money.
Udayakumar pointed that Vaiko was expelled from the DMK for allegedly conspiring against the then party chief late M Karunanidhi after which nine workers committed suicide and forgetting all that, Stalin has now forged an alliance with MDMK
He further assured that the electoral pact made by AIADMK for Lok Sabha polls was not for money but was made for people’s welfare. People thought it was a winning combination, he stated.
The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) and AIADMK stitched up the alliance for the upcoming general elections with seven seats being allotted to the PMK.
