Chennai: Tomorrow being the 71st birth anniversary of AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa, Chief Minister and party co-coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister and coordinator O Panneerselvam have exhorted the party cadres to work for the success of the alliance in the coming elections.
In a joint letter to the cadres, the duo has said they are following in the footsteps of Jayalalithaa and continuing her unfinished work.
They said they were successfully running the government in the midst of challenges.
The AIADMK honchos said they have secured the famed two-leaves symbol for the party and would be victorious in the upcoming elections.
Regarding the alliance the party has struck up with the BJP and PMK, the letter said it was a victorious alliance that would ensure the well-being of the country.
It gives importance to secularism, federalism, women empowerment and social justice, they said.
