Chennai: Last Sunday morning , a group of residents from Nandanam who were awake at 1.30 am to celebrate a birthday were in for a shock as they found a man allegedly involved in having sex with dogs in the locality.
It is said even after the locals warned the perpetrator, he continued to roam around the area during late hours, befriended the dogs and had sex with them.
“The residents of Nandanam came up with the complaint to our NGO Tuesday morning. We immediately rushed to the spot and retrieved the footages in nearby CCTV. In the video, we found this man befriending a dog, taking it to the backside of a car and coming back to the visibility of the camera after some minutes. Soon after this, we lodged a complaint against him at Saidapet police station and they arrested him. Now we have requested the cops to file an FIR against him,” said Almighty Animal Care Trust, president M Sai Vignesh.
During investigations, it was revealed that the accused was Neelakandan (22) who works with a local tea shop. However, according to the police, it was said there is not enough proof of Neelakandan abusing the animals (CCTV shows Neelakandan go invisible behind the car). More details are to be investigated.
