Anurag Kashyap, a noted Bollywood filmmaker, is known for making intense and realistic thriller movies.
He proved himself as a good actor too with his performance as an antagonist in Tamil movie Imaikaa Nodigal, which also starred Nayanthara, Atharva, Raashi Khanna and directed by ‘Demonte Colony’ fame Ajay Gnanamuthu.
Anurag’s last movie Manmarziyaan, starring Abhishek Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal and Tapsee Pannu in lead roles, was critically acclaimed and was a commercial success too.
Much recently, Anurag Kashyap attended a special screening of Sasikumar’s Subramaniapuram from which he was inspired to create the two-part masterpiece Gangs of Wasseypur.
Both the parts became a huge hit and emerged as one of the cult classics of Bollywood. The screening of Subramaniapuram happened in Bandra recently.
