The barricade erected by damaging the road.

Residents expressed their distress over the damage done to recently laid road by a private college in Chrompet, Chennai.

A Chrompet resident David Manohar, who is also part of Arappor Iyakkam, said, “The road connecting R V Vaithiyalingam Salai with Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam Radial Road in Pallavaram Municipal area was recently laid. But, within days, it was damaged by a private institution nearby for erecting an over-head barricade to restrict the movement of heavy vehicles on this road. It seems no permission was taken from the Municipality as well as the Police under whose purview the road comes.”
