Residents are upset over the huge pileup of garbage and litter at the street corners in BBR Nagar, Chrompet, Chennai.
M C Balaraman, who is a part of BBR Nagar Welfare Association, said, “There is no timely clearance of garbage by Pallavaram Municipality. As the garbage size is getting bigger, it’s leading to a lot of health problems for the neighbourhood residents. Needless to say about how cattle and dogs scatter the garbage. To start with, there are not even bins at many places here so that residents can effectively dump garbage. We request officials to sort this out as soon as possible.”
