Chennai: N Niranjana (67*) and M D Thirushkamini (66) scored half-centuries as Tamilnadu (TN) defeated Meghalaya by a huge 127-run margin in the BCCI Women Senior T20 Group A match at the Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana in Mumbai.
TN won the toss and elected to bat. Niranjana and Thirushkamini kept the Meghalaya bowlers at bay and helped the team post 172 for two in its 20 overs. TN bowlers came out all guns blazing in the second innings, skittling out their opponents for a paltry 45. S B Keerthana bowled a great spell, scalping three for three runs.
