Chennai: In a sweet gesture, a nine-year-old girl student Srihita donated her savings of Rs 1.50 lakh to the Chennai police to help set up CCTV cameras in the city.
City police commissioner A K Viswanathan invited Srihita to his office and appreciated her.
According to media reports, the girl had learnt about the benefits of CCTV surveillance cameras from a seminar organised by the police at her father’s workplace.
