A chic dress, check; perfect hair-do, check and make-up on point, check. Next comes the most challenging part of dressing up – selecting the footwear. If you are befuddled to pick one from the huge collections that you have stocked up, fret not, here’s a News Today guide to select the right footwear.

Every women want to look pretty anywhere they go and a simple compliment will brighten their day instantaneously. While all women give so much importance to selecting the dress and styling the hair, not everyone gives attention to footwear which can make or break your appearance.

Let the toes peep out
If the choice of your dress is just of knee-length, opt the peep toes. You have to trust me here, they absolutely go on with bare legs. It also goes well with opaque leggings or jeggings, you are all set to rock the day.

Pump it up
Wearing pantsuits or pencil skirts or cigarette pants? Check out the pumps. A pair of pumps is a great choice for a wide variety of clothing – jean, leather pants, pleated skirt, trousers and the like.

Style up with stilettos
Honestly, do not ask me the difference between stilettos and pumps. But I know one thing for sure, almost every woman owns a pair of the footwear for no obvious reasons. It is an ideal choice for any kind of event – party, formals or casuals.

Time to pull out the small heels
If you are a person who does not go gaga over a pair of heels, don’t worry small heels are for you. Rummaging your collection for a simple work wear? Just blindly go for these, for small heels would give you an elevated look and certainly makes an overall difference of how you look.

Get high with these gladiators
It may look all-messy to wear, but gladiators are must-haves. Name any short outfit, nude and ankle-length is the safest bet. To feel complete, pick the boho-inspired dress from the closet and pair it up with gladiator, you are ready for the day.

However, there are a few more factors to be considered while selecting the perfect footwear. Instead of picking the colour of the dress you are wearing, go for the contrasting pair of shoes. But neutral and nude go along with almost any shades of outfit. Give a bling to a simple skirt with a bright sandals with funky pattern.
