Chennai: An US-bound aged passenger, who came to board a flight to Frankfurt, suffered a heart attack and died at the Anna International airport here today.

Airport sources said, the 77-year-old passenger, Perumal, a native of Peelamedu in Coimbatore, suffered a cardiac arrest and fell unconscious soon after clearing the security check. A team of doctors from the Airport medical team examined him and declared him dead.

His body was shifted to Chrompet Government hospital. He was scheduled to board a flight to Frankfurt, enroute to US.
