Alapana Trust in association with Music of Madras will organise an Abhang workshop from 1 to 4 May between 8.30 and 11.30 am at TN Rajarathnam Pillai Muthamizh Peravai Hall, RA Puram.
A press release said the workshop will comprise practice sessions conducted by seasoned musician OS Arun and to conclude with a stage concert along with OS Arun will be held on 5 May between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm at the above venue.
Those with basic knowledge of carnatic music, abhang, bhajan can register for the programme through web site www.musicofmadras.in or through Music of Madras App (Android and IOS). Shortlisted participants will be intimated by mail and fee is Rs 3,000 per person for participation in the workshop.
