The residents of Madanandapuram, Chennai, are a happy lot as their longtime wish has been fulfilled.

The main stretches, including the Madha Nagar main road, have been freshly laid.

A resident says, “For the last few months, the progress was very slow. In fact, the rain worsened the road conditions while the work was going on. People here had to take alternative routes to reach to their schools and workplaces. This led to a huge traffic issue. Now, with the newly laid path, we get to have a calm commutation.”
