Puducherry: Even as AINRC founder leader N Rangasamy yesterday described the tie-up between his party and AIADMK as natural alliance, Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy said the former’s alliance with AIADMK and BJP revealed that it had become politically weak.

Rangasamy failed to fulfil the expectations of the people and the government and was now at the mercy of the saffron party to win the coming Lok Sabha polls, alleged Narayanasamy. He also pointed out that while forming the government after the 2011 polls, Rangasamy had ditched the AIADMK, their then alliance partner.

“It is amusing that the AIADMK had now accommodated AINRC in its alliance,” said the Chief Minister. Under Rahul Gandhi leadership, Congress would have a big win in the coming Lok Sabha elections he assured, adding that the fiscal requirements of the Union Territory would be fully met and also statehood as soon as Congress forms the government at the Centre.

Rangasamy had earlier in the day asserted that the AIADMK and its alliance partners would sweep all 39 seats in Tamilnadu and the lone segment in the union territory and claimed that there would be a big change in the political scene after the Lok Sabha polls.
