Chennai: Congress president Rahul Gandhi will kickstart the Lok Sabha election campaign in the State with a public meeting at Kanyakumari tomorrow. The rally will be the first after the DMK and Congress joined hands to face the coming polls.
Rahul will reach Chennai tomorrow morning and interact with students at the Stella Maris College for women. He will also address the media here. He will then leave the city for Trivandrum by a special aircraft and will take part in the meeting.
Rahul Gandhi’s election rally is set to be held at Scott Christian College grounds on Wednesday. The Congress was given 10 seats in the DMK alliance and the constituencies are to be confirmed soon.
Meanwhile, Rahul took part in the executive committee meeting of the Congress party that took place at the Sabarmati ashram in Gujarat. Party leaders Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge were also present.
