Chennai: A case has been registered against Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) candidate for Theni, Thanga Thamizhselvan, for his convoy having more vehicles than the prescribed number.
Thanga Thamizhselvan is contesting for the 2019 parliamentary elections from Theni constituency as the AMMK candidate. He is believed to be a close aide of AMMK founder T T V Dhinakaran.
It is said during electioneering in Bodi town he had used more vehicles than allowed by the Election Commission. So, the Bodi town police have registered a case against him for poll code violation.
